GENERATION OF FAITH: A Generation of Faith meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Church Hall. We will plan for the Liturgical Year, which begins in September. Hope to see you at this informative meeting.

LUC PICNIC: The League of Ukrainian Catholics, North Anthracite Council Annual Family Picnic will be held this Sunday, August 23rd at the beautiful Ezzyks Farm, Berwick PA. Moleben service will be at 2:00 PM, meeting and fellowship to follow. Guests are always welcome.

RUMMAGE SALE: Now is the time to clean out all of your unwanted households. Your items are being accepted for the Women’s Society Rummage Sale to be held in our Church Hall in October. Bring your items to the Church or call one of the members to help you with delivery. All household items such as small furniture, bedding, curtains, drapes, glasses, dishes, knick knacks, etc. will be appreciated.

Thursday, August 6 is the Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord. It is the tradition to have the blessing of fruit on this feast day. Bring your fruit to the Divine Liturgy for blessing.

HALL AND CHURCH: We thank the women of the parish who devoted their time and energy to come out and clean the Church the Hall and Hall Kitchen. We appreciate the help and may God bless them with good health.

TRANSFIGURATION OF OUR LORD PARISH PICNIC: Transfiguration of Our Lord Church will hold it’s Parish Picnic at the Church Hall on next Sunday, August 9 following 10:30 AM Divine Liturgy 12:00 NOON. Everyone is welcome! This is a covered dish event. The Parish will provide Hotdogs, Hamburg’s, and Beverages. Baked Goods are also needed. Contact Lisa Placek for any questions.
SS Peter and Paul, Plymouth parishioners are invited. Bring a covered dish.

HOLY DORMITION PILGRIMAGE: The Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate invites our parish family to attend the 55th Holy Dormition (Assumption) Pilgrimage on August 8 – 9, 2009 in Sloatsburg, NY. A full schedule of the two days Pilgrimage is posted in the Vestibule.

BUS TRIP TO PILGRIMAGE: League of Ukrainian Catholics, North Anthracite council is sponsoring a bus to the 55th Holy Dormition Assumption Pilgrimage on Sunday, August 9th in the beautiful grounds of the Villa of Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate. Highlights of the day include an outdoor Hierarchical Divine Liturgy and Moleben to the Blessed Mother of God, along with other services and devotions: healing service, blessing of flowers and religious items, Stations of the Cross, confessions and more.
