SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary light is requested to burn this week July 15-22 in memory of Joseph Pstrak by his wife Irene Pstrak and family.

EVENING PRAYERS: St. Vladimir Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, 70 Zerby Avenue, Edwardsville, PA extends a warm invitation to an Evening Prayer Service on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 5:00pm to be followed by a church sponsored meeting of our North Anthracite Council of the League of Ukrainian Catholics (LUC).  This is a public event of St. Vladimir  parish to which all parishioners and friends are welcome.

Upcoming Christmastime bus trip to New York City: Saturday, December 9, 2017, Scranton’s St. Vladimir Ukrainian Greek Catholic Parish is sponsoring a Christmastime bus trip to New York City. Stops will include the Ukrainian Village on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Bryant Park Christmas Shoppes adjacent to the New York City Library and the mid-town Fifth Avenue – Rockefeller Center/Times Square area. Participants are also welcome to do their own thing for all or part of the day if they so wish. The 55 passenger Martz bus would depart from Edwardsville’s St. Vladimir Church, 70 Zerby Avenue at 8:00am provided there are sufficient riders from the Wilkes-Barre / Berwick / Frackville areas. Departure from Scranton’s St. Vladimir Church, 428 North Seventh Avenue would be at 8:45am. Departure for home would be at 8:30pm. Cost is $42.00 per person. 
In order for us to confirm an Edwardsville pickup, please let us know before Monday, July 31st whether you are interested in this trip. If there are less than 18 such passengers, only an 8:00am Scranton pickup would be scheduled. We believe it is not too early to begin taking reservations as there already are several organizations in Northeastern PA which are advertising their December bus trips.

RUMMAGE SALE: Items are being collected for the Women’s Society annual Rummage sale to be held in October, 2017. What is your junk may be somebody’s treasure so clean out your closets, cupboards, etc. and bring them to the church.

UKRAINIAN SEMINARY DAY: The 83rd Ukrainian Seminary Day will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at St. Nicholas Picnic Grove, RT. 901 Primrose, Schuylkill Co., PA. Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, WPPA Polka Broadcast, Kazka Ukrainian Folk Ensemble, John Stevens’ Doubleshot Polka Band. Everyone Welcome. Free parking & admission. Proceeds Benefit the St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Seminary.
