SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary light is requested to burn this week October 17 – 24 by Arlene Jones for a Special Intention.

RUMMAGE SALE: The Women’s Society Rummage Sale was a huge success. With so many items still available and new items coming in, Anna Magill decided to try to have a special sale on Saturday, October 24th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If you have any items you wish to donate please bring them to the hall or to the church next week. Thanks again to all who donated to this sale that made it successful.

LOTTERY TICKETS: A lot of Lottery Tickets are still available. If you have any returns you may give them to Al Ferkel or Ann Beshada. If you cannot sell the tickets and have returns, please do so before the end of this month.

125th ANNIVERSARY: Father Oleksandr Dumenko and the Parish Family of St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church in Shenandoah extend a warm and cordial invitation to all who would like to join them in the 125th Anniversary Celebration of the Founding of the First Ukrainian Parish in America in 1884 on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM. The Jubilee Banquet will take place immediately afterwards at St. Nicholas Catering Hall, Route 901 Primrose, Minersville, PA. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY: We extend our best wishes to William and Kelly Ritsick who celebrated their 15th Anniversary recently. Their donation to the Building/Improvement Church Fund in honor of this occasion is greatly appreciated. God grant them many more happy years.

RUMMAGE SALE: The Women’s Society Rummage Sale to be held next Friday, October 9th from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday, October 10th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The Society is asking for donations of baked goods for the bake sale, if you would be so kind to donate some goodies it will be greatly appreciated. A small menu of food will be available for sale at the Rummage Sale. Please sign up if you will be donating any baked goods. We thank all who donated items for the sale also Mary Sawka for her monetary donation toward the sale. Be sure to come and shop you will be surprised at all the great values to purchase.

SPAGHETTI DINNER: Transfiguration of Our Lord U.C.C., Hanover Section of Nanticoke is sponsoring an Annual Spaghetti Dinner this Sunday, October 4, 2009 in the Church Hall, Bliss and Center Sts., from Noon – 4:00 P.M. Tickets are $8.00. Tickets will also be available at the door.

CRAFT SALE: SS Cyril & Methodius, U.C.C., Warren St. & First Ave., Berwick, PA will sponsor a Craft Sale Saturday, October 31, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Interested Crafter: Tables are $15 for 8’ table.
