MALANKA: Northeastern Pennsylvania’s 7th Annual Ukrainian New Year Dinner Dance will be conducted on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 6:00pm to 1:00am at St. Vladimir Parish Center, 428 North Seventh Avenue, Scranton, Pennsylvania. Doors do not open before 5:45pm. A generous buffet including Ukrainian specialties will be served along with a midnight bubbly toast and dancing to the music of the popular Ukrainian orchestra “Fata Morgana”. Cash bar and door prizes. Tickets are $40.00. Reservations can be made by contacting Ann Beshada 829-4202. No tickets will be sold at the door. Early reservations are encouraged. For out-of-towners who prefer to stay overnight, a special reduced rate is available via the Ukrainian Heritage Council at the Clarion Hotel on Meadow Avenue [344-9811].
THANKS: The winning ticket on Nov. 23 #429 was won by Ken Kurkowski and he donated his winnings back to our Building/Improvement fund. We thank you for your generosity Ken. Ken is a brother to Dolores Sinko.

SING ALONG: SS Peter and Paul, U.C.C., Wilkes-Barre, PA invites you to their 17th annual Christmas Carol Sing-Along – Sunday, December 12, 2010, 2:00 PM at 635 North River Street, Wilke-Barre, PA. They ask you to join them in singing Christmas Carols in Ukrainian and English.

PIGGIE DINNER: Transfiguration of Our Lord U.C.C., Nanticoke, PA will sponsor a Piggie Dinner this Sunday, November 28th from noon to 4:00 PM in the Church Hall. Tickets will be sold at the door.

CHRISTMAS HOLY SUPPER: It appears that no one was interested in having a Holy Supper for Christmas Eve, December 24th. The Church Council decided to try for the January 6th Holy Supper. Please if you would be interested in having this nice dinner for all parishioners and families sign the list in the vestibule. This will give all the opportunity to join together as a Parish Family and enjoy the tradition.

Congratulations to Ron & Rosemarie Kachinko who celebrated their 50TH Wedding Anniversary recently.
The happy couple attended the Wedding Jubilarians at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Philadelphia on Sunday October 17, 2010, with a Divine Liturgy, concelebrated by Metropolitan Archbishop Stefan Soroka. Archbishop Stefan gave his blessings to all the couples in attendance.
Best wishes, God’s blessings and many more Happy Healthy Years to Ron & Rosemarie. Mhohya Lita!
