There is no key to happiness.
     The door is always open.

Be A Habitual Miracle Maker
“This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind…let it be something good.”
— Author Unknown
If you would like each day to be a miracle, then begin each one with this little prayer: “Please, God, show me what I might do to make this day different. Please guide me to do what will make this day the best day possible?”

Happy Thoughts
“Remember, happiness doesn’t depend upon who you are or what you have.
It depends solely upon what you think.”
Dale Carnegie
Most people don’t believe it, but it really is possible to think yourself happy. You start with one happy thought followed by another and another until pretty soon you’re stacking them on top of each other, like layers of joy bricks. After awhile, you will have built such a solid wall of happy thoughts around yourself that wherever you go, you’ll radiate joy. And all because one day you made the decision that no matter what, you were going to think a happy thought.
Just think a happy thought.
Then think another.
And another, And another, And another.
It really is that easy.

May your happy thoughts be numerous and always close at hand.
May your day be filled with all things good,

Resolutions For Avoiding Misery

Choose to love — rather than hate
Choose to smile — rather than frown
Choose to build — rather than destroy
Choose to persevere — rather than quit
Choose to praise — rather than gossip
Choose to heal — rather than wound
Choose to give — rather than grasp
Choose to act — rather than delay
Choose to forgive — rather than curse
Choose to pray — rather than despair

The Story of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

God made us just to love us.
He wants us to love Him back.
He knows that loving Him is the only way we can be truly happy.
For thousands of years people who became close friends of God have been telling us that God’s heart is full of love for us.
A heart means love.
God loved us so much that He came to earth to be born as Jesus.
When He was here, the Heart of Jesus burned with love for all people.
It still does.
To show His great love, artists paint His heart all on fire.

Jesus came to show that God loves even those people who don’t
care about Him.
Jesus was willing to suffer and die on a cross to show God’s love for all.
Remembering this, artists draw a cross above His burning Heart.
When Jesus was hanging on the cross, a soldier pierced his side with a lance.
Blood and water gushed out, showing us again how much He loved us.
Artists place the wound from the lance in the Heart of Jesus.

People who hated Jesus put a crown of thorns on his head, hurting him.
Today people hurt Jesus when they ignore God’s love or hate God.
Artists show that hurt by placing a crown of thorns around His Heart.

Jesus, I love You!  I thank you for loving me. I adore Your Sacred Heart.
Fill my heart with more love for You every day.
Let me be like You, loving and gentle to others at all times.
Help me to pray every day for those who do not know You or love You.
I offer You all I do–my prayers, my words, my actions, and my whole self.
Sacred Heart of Jesus! I give myself to You today and forever.

MAY THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS, BE PRAISED, ADORED AND GLORIFIED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE WORLD, FOR EVER ANDEVER. AMEN.

This is possible because of the success of all the rummage sales held by the Women’s Society. God’s blessing on all the members for their work and efforts in raising money for this organization. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 11th at the Church Hall. New members think about joining this group.

THE FEAST OF THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS

The feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was adopted by the Syrian, Maronite, Chaldean, Armenian, Melchite, and Italo-Greek Catholics of the Eastern Church. The revision of our liturgical books conducted by the Holy See in the 1940’s retained the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in our breviary under the name “The Feast of the Most Sweet Lord and God our Savior Jesus Christ, Lover of Mankind.”
In his promises given to St. Margaret Alacoque, Jesus Christ promised the veneration of his Sacred Heart the necessary graces for their state of life; peace in their families; consolation in their pains and trials; assured refuge in life, and especially the grace of a happy death. Millions of souls throughout the world have found peace and happiness, growth in love, and the practice of Christian virtues in the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
A characteristic mark of love is to sacrifice oneself for the beloved and strive to repay love for love. Such was the love of our Savior: “We love God, for he has first loved us,” says St. John in his first letter.
In the encyclical of June 28, 1889 – where he encourages all to embrace the cult of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Pope Leo Xlll writes: “The most fervent desire of our Savior is to see the fire of love with which his heart burns being born and growing in the souls of the faithful. Therefore, let us go to him for he asks of us nothing more than that we repay him love for love.”
SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary light is requested to burn this week June 2 – 9 by The Halloway Family in memory of their father Charles Halloway.
A new Sanctuary chart is available for your intentions starting June 30th.
ALTAR CANDLES: The candles on the Altar will burn for all services in memory of Ronald Kachinko requested by his wife Rosemarie Kachinko. .

MOLEBEN TO JESUS CHRIST: A Moleben to Jesus Christ Service will be held at our Parish on this Sunday June 3rd at 3:00 PM. All are invited to attend. An LUC meeting will follow in the Church Hall.

A REMINDER: Father Walter will be away from Friday, June 8th until Monday, June 18, 2018. Father George Worschak will substitute for both weekends, June 9/10 and June 16/17. In case of an emergency Father Paul Wolensky can be contacted by calling 570-606-5762.
