SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary light is requested to burn this week July 30-August 5 by Charles Drazba & Family in memory of Charles & Anna Drazba.

WOMEN’S SOCIETY: The Parish Women’s Society will be sponsoring a Rummage Sale in the fall. Now is the time to start packing things that are no longer useful to you and donate them to the sale. Bring items to the church or call one of the Society members to arrange for pick up.

PILGRIMAGE: A Pilgrimage for Peace will be held at Holy Dormition Byzantine Franciscan Friary at Sybertsville, PA on Sunday, August 7th. Come and gather to pray for peace! The annual Pilgrimage for Peace will start at 11:00 AM. Anointing for Healing at 1:00 PM. Concert by the Vespers Choral Group at 2:00 PM. Panachida at 3:00 PM. Food will be served 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM and after the 4:00 PM Divine Liturgy celebrated by Bishop William. Not many responded to making this day a Pilgrimage for Peace. A bus is not feasible at this time. A few will be driving and if you are interested contact the office.

UKRAINIAN SEMINARY DAY: The 77th Annual Ukrainian Seminary Day will be held this Sunday, July 31, 2011 at St. Nicholas Picnic Grove, Route 901, Primrose, Minersville, PA. The Most Reverend Stefan Soroka, Archbishop of the Ukrainian Archeparchy of Philadelphia and clergy of the South Anthracite Deanery will celebrate The Divine Liturgy at 11:00 AM. Entertainment, Arts & Crafts, food and drinks will be available throughout the day.

UKRAINIAN SEMINARY DAY: The 77th Annual Ukrainian Seminary Day will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at St. Nicholas Picnic Grove, Route 901, Primrose, Minersville, PA. The Most Reverend Stefan Soroka, Archbishop of the Ukrainian Archeparchy of Philadelphia and clergy of the South Anthracite Deanery will celebrate The Divine Liturgy at 11:00 AM. Entertainment will be provided by “The Kazka Ukrainian Folk Ensemble of North East Penna.” at 1:00 PM. The Pennsylvania Villagers Polka Band will provide polka and dance music from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Home-made ethnic foods will be sold throughout the day. Arts and Crafts will be on display and for sale. A theme Basket Auction of over 30 baskets will be conducted throughout the day. Admission and parking are free.

FLEA MARKET AND RUMMAGE SALE:. If you wish to contribute any items such as household, dishes, pots, pans, linens, bedding, blankets and many more articles useful to be sold and in good condition for the Rummage Sale, please bring to the church or contact one of the members of the Women’s Society.

Father Michael, from the Franciscan Holy Dormition of Sybertsville, PA will be substituting for Father Roman while he is on his vacation at all the weekend and Holy Day Divine Liturgies.

PICNIC: Thanks are given to all who attended the Parish Family Picnic last Sunday. Many thanks for all the good food, desserts, monetary gifts, etc. to those who contributed to make the affair possible. It was a great turn out and all enjoyed the day.
