UKRAINIAN SEMINARY DAY: The 77th Annual Ukrainian Seminary Day will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at St. Nicholas Picnic Grove, Route 901, Primrose, Minersville, PA. The Most Reverend Stefan Soroka, Archbishop of the Ukrainian Archeparchy of Philadelphia and clergy of the South Anthracite Deanery will celebrate The Divine Liturgy at 11:00 AM. Entertainment will be provided by “The Kazka Ukrainian Folk Ensemble of North East Penna.” at 1:00 PM. The Pennsylvania Villagers Polka Band will provide polka and dance music from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Home-made ethnic foods will be sold throughout the day. Arts and Crafts will be on display and for sale. A theme Basket Auction of over 30 baskets will be conducted throughout the day. Admission and parking are free.

WELCOME: We are pleased to welcome Father Michael Lenz
to celebrate the Divine Liturgies for our parish while Father Roman is on vacation.

SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary light is requested to burn this week July 23-30 by George Pryslak & Family in memory of Michael Pryslak.

BUILDING/IMPROVEMENT FUND: Our thanks of gratitude are expressed to those who donated to our Parish Building/Improvement Fund in the amount of $650 in memory of Mary Bilak by the following: Michael & Frances Furgalia, Steven & Anna Shuscavage, Neighbors, Barno Family, Al & Dolores Chesna, Jane, Carol& Jerry Hummel, Dr. & Mrs. William Wasnick, Julie & Bob Williams, Julie Wido, Helen Sirak, Stephania Zearfoss and Daniel Bilak. FLEA MARKET AND RUMMAGE SALE:. If you wish to contribute any items such as household, dishes, pots, pans, linens, bedding, blankets and many more articles useful to be sold and in good condition for the Rummage Sale, please bring to the church or contact one of the members of the Women’s Society.

PILGRIMAGE: A Pilgrimage for Peace will be held at Holy Dormition Byzantine Franciscan Friary at Sybertsville, PA on Sunday, August 7th. Come and gather to pray for peace! The annual Pilgrimage for Peace will start at 11:00 AM. Anointing for Healing at 1:00 PM. Concert by the Vespers Choral Group at 2:00 PM. Panachida at 3:00 PM. Food will be served 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM and after the 4:00 PM Divine Liturgy celebrated by Bishop William. If we can have at least 30 people interested in attending this Pilgrimage a bus will be available at the cost of $30 per person.
