Time change – It is time to set our clocks ahead for the Daylight Saving Time begins March 14th 2:00 AM. This is a good sign that Spring is just around the corner.

POTATO PANCAKE SUPPER: Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church is sponsoring a Potato Pancake Supper on Friday, March 19th in the Church
Hall. Serving will be from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M with take-outs available. Dinner includes “made from scratch” potato pancakes, choice of homemade soup, veggies, dessert, and beverage. The cost is $6.00. Reservations are not necessary. However, if you would like take-outs, you may call to reserve your pancakes and give an approximate pick up time. SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary Light is requested to burn this week March 13 – 20 by Arlene Jones for a special intention.

FLOWERS: Our thanks to the Halloways for their donation of flowers this week in memory of all deceased members of the Halloway Family.

BUILDING FUND: We wish to thank those who donated to our Building/Improvement Fund in the amount of $150.in memory of Irene Gerzarowski:

DEANERY STATIONS OF THE CROSS: Our parish will be the host to the fellowship after the Stations of the Cross this Sunday. Hopefully many of our parishioners will be in attendance for the Stations and to join in the hall for the serving of food and beverages. Our thanks to the very generous monetary donations given for the Fellowship: Geri Kolotelo, Catherine & Charles Halloway and Rose Sivick.

BIRTHDAY WISHES: We extend our Birthday greetings and God’s Blessings for Anna Dempsey who will celebrate her 97th Birthday on March 16th. Mnohya Lita!

WOMEN’S SOCIETY: Saturday, March 27th 4:00 PM Divine Liturgy will be celebrated for all living and deceased members of the Women’s Society. President Irene Frisbie asks all members to be present by 3:15 PM to recite the rosary.

SVIACHENE: Our Sviachene (Easter Dinner) is being planned for Sunday,
May 2, 2010 – 2:00 PM in our Church Hall Tickets will be
available soon. The cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children
under 12. Donations of Gift items for the Chinese Auction
will be greatly appreciated. Save the date to attend this
Church function – bring your family and friends.

BUS TRIP TO VIEW THE SHROUD OF TURIN EXHIBITION: SS. Peter & Paul, U.C.C., Wilkes-Barre will sponsor a bus to the Cathedral of the Immaculate
Conception in Philadelphia to view the Shroud of Turin Exhibition, Sunday, April 25, 2010. The bus will leave the Churchyard in Wilkes-Barre at 10:30 AM. It is anticipated that we will leave Philadelphia about 3:30 PM. The cost for the trip will
