SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary Light was requested to burn this week
October 1 – October 8 Albert Piston in memory of Margaret Dombrosky.
ALTAR CANDLES: The Altar candles are requested to burn for the month of October for all church services by Helene Sirak in memory of her son-in-law Mark Skopek.

SYMPATHY: We extend our Sympathy to the family of James Fromel who was called to his eternal rest. May his memory be eternal!

BUILDING/IMPROVEMENT FUND: Our thanks to John Michalak for his donation of $150 to our Church Building/Improvement Fund in memory of his grandmother Dorothy Michalak.

PYROHY SALE: Our fund raising Pyrohy project will be held November 28/29th.
Of course we are asking for all the help we can possibly get to fulfill this project. Please if you have any amount of time you can give to your church come and join your fellow parishioners even if it is only a few hours it will be much appreciated. The Pryohy’s are $7 a dozen and orders will be limited. Place your orders early and the deadline will be November 21st.

SPAGHETTI TAKE-OUT DINNER: Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, Hanover Section of Nanticoke is sponsoring its Annual Spaghetti Dinner on Sunday October 9, 2011 in the church hall, Bliss and Center Sts. Serving will be from Noon to 3:00 P.M. and will be TAKE-OUT ONLY.

RUMMAGE – FLEA MARKET SALE: The Parish Women’s Society will be sponsoring a Rummage Sale Friday, Oct. 14, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM & Saturday, Oct.15 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. You can bring yours donations of items to Church. A bake sale will also be available and the Women’s Society is asking all the parishioners to participate if they can to donate homemade baked goods. Your generous donations are really appreciated. Food will be served consisting of homemade piggies, whimpies, hot dogs, etc. Come and enjoy a shopping trip with a little lunch and some great baked desserts.

HARVEST DINNER: St. Vladimir Parish, 428 N. 7th Ave., Scranton, PA invites you to their annual Harvest Thanksgiving dinner to be held on Sunday, Oct. 30th. Dinner consists of Turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, hot vegetable, cranberry sauce, salad, apple or pumpkin pie, seasonal desserts, coffee, tea or soda. Tickets are available at $15 Adults, $8 Students and children under 6 free. Advance tickets only. No tickets will be sold at the door. For reservations call Kathleen 570-346-2414 no later than October 25th. Take outs available and must pick up between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM. Divine Liturgy at 10:30 AM. Prayer and dinner at 1:00 PM. 50/50, raffle and door prizes.
