BLESSING OF HOMES: If you would like to have your home blessed please call Father Roman at 735-2262 or place your name and address in the collection basket. Father would like to bless everyone’s home if you so desire. This is the Priest Pastoral duties to visit all parishioners so if you see Father at your door, don’t be surprised.

 

SANCTUARY LIGHT:  The Sanctuary Light is requested to burn the week of

Dec. 31 – Jan. 7 by Rita Rentko in memory of Sandra Elko.

 

UKRAINIAN HOLY SUPPER: Our Parish Family Ukrainian Holy Supper will be held this coming Friday Evening, 5:00 PM January 6th in the Church Hall. This will be same as last year. Those attending will prepare a cover dish or a monetary donation. Some of the food will be provided by the parish. We are hoping for a full attendance to celebrate this Holy Supper. Please sign in if you will be attending. Come and spend some time with your parishioners for a nice affair to celebrate this Ukrainian Christmas.

 

PRAYERS:  Please remember in your prayers all the sick of the parish, those at home, in nursing facilities and hospitals.      

THANKS: Our thanks for another generous donation of $1000 toward the Stained Glass Icon of St. Paul given by Charles Halloway in memory of his brother Michael Halloway.

                         

COUNCIL MEETING: A meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Wednesday, January 11th in the Church Hall at 6:30 PM. All members are asked to please attend this meeting as many subjects will be discussed.
MALANKA: Reservations are still being accepted for the Northeastern Pennsylvania’s 8th Annual Ukrainian New Year Dinner Dance – MALANKA – conducted on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM at St. Vladimir Parish Center, 428 North Seventh Avenue, Scranton, PA. Doors open at 5:45 PM. A generous buffet will be served along with a midnight bubbly toast and dancing to the music of the popular Ukrainian orchestra “Fata Morgana”. Cash bar and door prizes. Tickets are $40.00. Reservations can be made by contacting Ann Beshada at 829-4202 or Gerry Adamchak at 824-3880. No tickets will be sold at the door.
