BUS TRIP: North Anthracite Council of the League of Ukrainian Catholics is sponsoring a bus trip to the 22nd Annual Ukrainian Folk Festival at the Ukrainian American Sport Center – “Tryzub” – in Horsham, PA on Sunday, August 25, 2013.
Only 14 seats remain available. The 55 passenger AJ Limo Coach bus will pick up in Berwick at 9:00am, Edwardsville at 9:45am and Scranton at 10:15am. Cost is $35.00 per person which includes admission ticket to the Festival. Full advance nonrefundable payment reserves a seat. SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary light is requested to burn this week July 5 – 13 by Albert Piston in memory of Dan Piston.

SS PETER & PAUL FEAST: Many thanks to those who attended the Divine Liturgy and the Social that followed on the Feast of SS Peter & Paul. It was an enjoyable affair and such a pleasure to have so many attending the Divine Liturgy. Our special thanks to those who donated desserts, food and monetary gifts. God’s blessing on all.

WOMEN’S SOCIETY: The Parish Women’s Society will be sponsoring a Rummage Sale in the fall. Now is the time to start packing things that are no longer useful to you and donate them to the sale. Bring items to the church or call one of the Society members to arrange for pick up.

ANNOUNCEMENT: According to the Archbishop’s permission the pastor of our parish Rev. Volodymyr Popyk will have his vacation one month starting July 17 to August 17. Rev. Uriy Kucharsky will substitute for all services in our parish while FatherVolodymyr is away.
