SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary Light is requested to burn this week August 17 – 24 by Ron & Rosemarie Kachinko in memory of Emily Kachinko Hilinski.

FLOWERS: Our thanks to James Bruce Fromel for the bouquet of flowers this week in memory of his father James Fromel birthday in heaven.

WOMEN’S SOCIETY: The Parish Women’s Society will be sponsoring a Rummage Sale in the fall. All items such as household, linens, utensils, toys, baby clothes, furniture, etc are accepted if they are in good shape to sell. Bring items to the church, the hall or call one of the Society members to arrange for pick up.

LUC MEETING : The North Anthracite Council – League of Ukrainian Catholics will meet this Sunday, August 18, 2013, at Ezzyk’s Farm in Berwick. Outdoor Moleben Prayer Service “under the trees” at 2:30pm, business session at 3:00pm followed by traditional annual summer picnic. Main agenda items include membership renewal, the August 25th bus trip to the Ukrainian Festival in Horsham PA and the National Convention scheduled for October 4th to 6th in Cheektowaga /Buffalo, NY.
This is a family-oriented event in the beautiful mountains of Berwick. Come enjoy an afternoon of spiritual and social well-being including a generous buffet and Ezzyk’s famous fresh picked summer vegetables. All members and their families are invited. Clergy and new members warmly welcomed.
