UKRAINIAN CHRISTMAS HOLY SUPPER – Plans were discussed for having our Ukrainian Holy Supper January 6th. The date for the Christmas Eve is on a Monday so it was decided by Father and the council to have the supper on Sunday, January 5th, 2014 at 3:00 pm. This affair will be celebrated if we have enough people interested in attending. A sign up sheet is in the vestibule if you will attend. If we do not have people interested the affair will be cancelled.
NATIVITY SET UP: This Sunday, December 22nd is planned to have the Nativity set up. We are asking for all the help we can get to do this beautiful scene. The more help we get the faster it will be accomplished. Please try to be at the church about 1:00 PM.
SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary light is requested to burn this week Dec. 21 – 28 by Ron & Rosemarie Kachinko in memory of Parents.
SYMPATHY: We extend our sincere sympathy to the family of Joseph Sawka who was called to his eternal rest. May his memory be eternal! Vychnya Pomyat!
THE HOLY SHROUD: The committee is still working on perfecting the Shroud pamphlets and posters and should be ready by the New Year to distribute to the various Churches, Catholic Schools, and businesses and to those who could place them in a area to be seen by many. Your help in this beautiful occasion will be greatly appreciated. The next meeting for the Holy Shroud will be Jan. 16th at 4:00 PM.
ENVELOPES: The 2014 Church envelopes are in the vestibule. Please use your envelopes to be credited in the Church Data Base. Your generous contributions is what will make the Church function and continue to progress. As you know the cost of all utilities are rising and rising and it does take money to furnish the parishioners with heat, air conditioning, water and all the necessities for keeping the Church going. If there is any change of address or telephone please put it on your envelopes so the data can be updated. If you can deliver envelopes to your friends, family or neighbors, please help to distribute them. Thank you. Do not use until the New Year.
