PYROHY’S: A Pyrohy Project will be held the first week in December. This project requires a lot of help, it cannot be done if we do not have the help. PLEASE TRY IF YOU CAN POSSIBILY COME TO HELP IN THIS MATTER. Monday November 30 will be to eye the potatoes and Tuesday December 1st would be the preparation. Please try to come and help your church. The cost per dozen will remain at $7and limited orders will be taken. Place your orders early, deadline for orders will be Monday November 22.
LUC Meeting: North Anthracite Council – League of Ukrainian Catholics will meet on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Holy Transfiguration Church, 240 Center Street, Hanover Section of Nanticoke.  Moleben prayer service is scheduled for 2:30 pm., business session at 3:00 pm followed by reception and fellowship.
Main agenda item will focus on the recently concluded National Convention which was held in Lansdale PA. Former members and new members are warmly invited to become involved in the LUC as active participants in the Vibrant Parish movement throughout our worldwide Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church as envisioned by Patriarch Sviatoslav Shevchuk. For additional information contact Dorothy Jamula, President   or any LUC member of the parish.

TURKEY – FEST – Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, will host their annual Turkey Fest on Saturday, November 7th from 2 to 7 pm in their school hall on the corner of North River and West Chestnut Streets in Wilkes-Barre.  This event features a traditional turkey dinner, festival games and a variety raffle.  Dinners will be $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for children.  Eat-In or Take-out.  Walk-Ins are welcome, but reservations are encouraged. Non-perishable food items will be collected for donation to a local food pantry.  Receive a ticket for each item donated for our special food drive raffle.

ST. MICHAEL’S BYZANTINE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 205 North Main St., Pittston, Pa. is having a Halupki (Piggie ) Dinner on November 15, 2015. Eat in or take out. from 1pm to
3pm at the Church Hall. Everyone is welcome!
ST. JOHN’S AUXILIARY PIROHI SALE – Christmas orders are being taken at this time, and must be made before the November 19th deadline with a December 7th pick-up between 10am-2pm. Don’t be disappointed, order early. Late orders may have to go on a waiting list. Call 570-343-8820.

His Beatitude Sviatoslav to Bless New Mosaics Sun., Nov. 15 during 2:30 p.m.
Divine Liturgy Honoring Consecrated Life at Philadelphia Ukrainian Cathedral
All parishioners are invited to join with His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Spiritual Father of our Ukrainian Catholic Church, Metropolitan Stefan and the clergy of our Archeparchy as we honor consecrated life during a hierarchical Divine Liturgy, Sunday, November 15, 2015 beginning at 2:30 p.m. in our Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in Philadelphia. During the Divine Liturgy, men and women religious will renew their vows and the mosaics of Blessed Josaphata, SSMI and Venerable Andrew Sheptytsky, OSBM will be blessed. After the Divine Liturgy, the bell tower with the bell from the original cathedral will also be blessed in an outdoor ceremony that will also include a prayer vigil for Ukraine. Following the services, everyone is welcome to enjoy a reception in the Cathedral Social Hall

BANS OF MARRIAGE: The Bans of Matrimony are announced for the Third time between Julia Winsock Parishioner of SS Peter & Paul U.C.C. and Robert Lutsky. The Matrimony will be celebrated on Saturday, November 7, 2015. If there is any known reason why this marriage should not take place, please contact Father Popyk.

WOMEN’S SOCIETY: On this Tuesday, November 3rd the members of the Women’s Society will get together to clean the hall. The items left over from the Rummage sale will be picked up that day and the hall is in great need of cleaning.
Please, Ladies come at 10:00 AM and give a hand to help with this project.
