BUS TRIP: Scranton’s St. Vladimir Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church is sponsoring a Christmastime bus trip to New York City on Saturday, December 9, 2017. There will be three stops in Manhattan: the Ukrainian Village on the lower East Side, Bryant Park’s Winter Village housing 125 vendors in midtown, and the Christmassy Fifth Avenue area. We’ll have an opportunity to buy some tasty Ukrainian goodies, see many beautiful Christmas decorations as only New York City can do it including the famous Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center and more. Participants can follow the above three-stop itinerary or are free to do their own thing for part or all of the day. Departure from St. Vladimir Church, 428 North Seventh Avenue will be at 8:00am and departure from New York City for home will be at 8:30pm. Cost is $42.00 per person. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY STORE Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, Hanover section of Nanticoke will be holding a “Christmas Holiday Store” every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM starting October 28th. There will be gently used Christmas and Holiday Items including a huge selection of gently used designer purses. The event will be held weather permitting and supplies last. The following date Oct 28—pancakes, Nov 5- Clam Chowder, Nov 11 –Haluski, Nov 18–Baked goods and Christmas cookies.

ST. MICHAEL’S BYZANTINE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 205 N. Main St., Pittston, Pa. 18640 is hosting their Feast Day Stuffed Chicken Breast Dinner on Nov. 12, 2017 from 1to 3pm with take-outs from 12 noon to 1pm. This event is open to the public. Adults are $10.00 and Children under 12 – $6.00. We will also have a Raffle with many prizes! All are welcome!

SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary Light is requested to burn the week of Nov. 11 – 18 by Vera Hubick in memory of husband Peter Hubick.

ALTAR CANDLES: The Altar Candles is requested to burn at all Services in the month of November by Becky Molecavage in memory of her father Dimitri Bencho.

BELLS: Our thanks for the two donations of $100 and $25 received for the repair of the Bells by anonymous donors. God’s blessing on you for your generosity.

PRAYER SERVICE & MEETING; Father Myron Myronyuk, pastor of Scranton’s St. Vladimir Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, extends a warm invitation to a beautiful Prayer Service – Moleben to Blessed Martyr Mykola Charnetsky – on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 2:00pm to be followed by a church sponsored meeting of our North Anthracite Council of the League of Ukrainian Catholics (LUC).  Review of the recent National Convention hosted by the Council will be the primary agenda item. This is a public event of St. Vladimir parish to which all parishioners and friends are welcome.

WOMEN’S SOCIETY: The regular monthly meeting of the Women’s Society will be held Tuesday, November 14th, 6:30 PM in the church hall Anna Magill, President, will preside. The Christmas Party is scheduled for Sunday, December 3rd, 1:00 PM.
