Lord, thank You for my blessings and my crosses. Graciously bless me with the courage to grow closer to You with all that fills my day.
GOD’S WORLD
In God’s world happiness is found in how we live By the things we keep and things we give
Making plans on what we can do each day And helping others along their way.
The bible tells us of the rules God set Working hard we can see they are met
Dreaming dreams that reach the sky We can enjoy God’s world as time goes by
There is a miracle in every living thing The beauty of nature He does bring
We experience the seasons of God’s pageantry In God’s world all creation is a mystery
God’s world is filled with love for you and me In His world we live by what we believe
Courage and hope He will always supply Living by faith our prayers He will not deny.
JESUS IS THE WAY
Our world has changed so much today
It is filled with hate, troubles and woe
Now in public we are not allowed to pray
The world has forgotten that Jesus is the way.
We are pressured, disturbed and bewildered
We have become selfish rushing through our day
We never take time to pray or remember
That Jesus is the only way.
We must work hard to stop this decay
That is destroying our world today
By telling others to take time and pray
And accept through faith Jesus is the way.
Jesus is the way that leads to heaven
His hand is holding the only key
That unlocks the golden door
Leading us to eternity.
SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary Light is not requested.
SYPATHY: Our sympathy is extended to the family of Rose Mytch who was called to her eternal rest and to Marilyn Huff whose husband was called to his eternal rest. May they rest in peace.
RUMMAGE SALE: Our Rummage Sale will be held on Friday, Oct. 8th, Saturday Oct. 9th, and Sunday Oct. 10th . We are asking for donations of baked goods from our great bakers of the parish. Your help for this fundraising is very important. Please try to do this for your parish.
MEETING: Wyoming Valley Parish Meeting was cancelled for the Sept. 15th and will be held Wednesday September 29th at 6:00 PM in SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre, PA. This meeting is for parish and Financial council members of each parish.
