We secure ourselves against the storms of life by grounding ourselves in the Word of God. We don’t need to understand, we just need to hold His hand to have peace in the middle of storms.
SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary light is not requested.
WOMEN’S SOCIETY: The regular monthly meeting of the Women’s Society will be held Tuesday, October 11th in the Church Hall starting 6:00 PM. All members are asked to attend.
RUMMAGE SALE: The Rummage sale will continue on Friday October 21, Saturday October 22 and Bag Day Sunday October 23. The Basket Raffle will still be on display for you to purchase a few chances to win one of those beautiful baskets. The chances are 10 for $5 and will be chanced off on Sunday October 23 at the end of the sale. All proceeds from this Basket Raffle will be for the Humanitarian Fund in Ukraine. If you did not try your luck yet it is not too late to come to the hall on the above dates and purchase a few tickets for a good cause.
PASTIE SALE: Saints Peter & Paul, Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, North Wilkes-Barre is taking orders for Pasties for pick-up on Saturday, October 15th, 2022. Our Pasties are made with seasoned ground beef and potatoes wrapped in a pie crust pastry and are available with or without onions. Pasties are $8.00 each and Gravy is available for $1.00 for an 8 oz. cup. Call (570)829-3051 to place your order. (Please specify with or without onions.) Pick-up from 2:00 to 4:00pm in our School Hall, corner of North River and West Chestnut Streets, Wilkes-Barre. Remember, when Baba cooks… everybody’s happy
SOUP & HOAGIE SALE: St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 153 E. Main St., Glen Lyon, PA will sponsor a Vegetable Soup and Turkey, Ham & Cheese and Italian Hoagie sale with bake sale on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 11 am to 4 pm in the church hall. The hoagies or a quart of soup is $8.00. Place your order by calling Debbie at 570-736-6908 by Sunday October 23rd. A basket raffle is also available to benefit Ukraine.
