Baptism & Chrismation: Congratulations to Jolene Willow Evans who will receive the sacraments of Baptism and Chrismation on Sunday the 30th of October. Jolene is the daughter of Colleen and Joseph Evans.
SYMPATHY: We extend our sympathy to the family of Walter Luzetski who was called to his eternal rest. Mr. Luzetski was a former member of St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. May his memory be eternal.
ANNUAL TURKEY-FEST DINNER- Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church will host their annual Turkey Fest Dinner as a take-out only event on Saturday, November 5th in their school hall on the corner of West Chestnut and North River Streets in Wilkes-Barre. Pick-ups will be from 12:00(noon) to 4:00pm. The event will feature our traditional turkey dinner and basket raffle. Dinners will be $15.00 for adults and $9.00 for children. Walk-in customers will be welcomed, but reservations are strongly encouraged. Tell your friends and family. Non-perishable food items will be collected for donation to a local food pantry.
RUMMAGE SALE: If you did not have the chance to attend the Sale this past Friday & Saturday, you still have time to try your luck at the Basket Raffle on Sunday. The sale will be conducted from 12 noon to 3 PM and the Basket Raffle will be chanced off at the 3:00 PM closing. Come try your luck on the raffle for the proceeds will be for the Humanitarian Fund in Ukraine. The tickets are 10 for $5. We, the Women’s Society appreciate your patronage.
