PYROHY SALE: A Pyrohy Project will be held on April 11, 12th. The Pyrohys will be $7.00 a dozen. Help will be needed for this project. Orders are limited, so place your orders early. The sheet for the orders is in the vestibule.
MEETING: The Parish Council will meet Tuesday, March 15th in the Church Hall – 6:30 PM. Members please try to attend.
TRANSFIGURATION: The menu for this Friday, March 18 – Fish Friday – baked or fried $6.00. Take out dinners are $6.00 each and do not include beverage. Dinners will be served from 4:00-7:00 PM.
CLAM CHOWDER AND HALUSHKI SALE: St. Nicholas U.C.C. East Main St., Glen Lyon, PA is sponsoring a Clam Chowder and Halushki sale Friday, April 1, 2011 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Clam Chowder is $7.00 a quart and Halushki is $5.00 a quart. A bake sale will also be held in the church hall during this time. For your orders please call Jane Kmietowicz – 239-1454, Karen Phair – 735-7682 or Debbie Fudjak – 735-6908 by March 27, 2011. If you would like to order, but are unable to pick up your order on Friday, April 1st, arrangements can be made to have your order delivered by calling Debbie Fudjak – 735-6908.
SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary light is requested to burn this week March.12–19 by Rita Rentko in memory of her husband Steve Rentko.
SYMPATHIES: We extend our sincere sympathy to the family of Mary Valadja who was called to her eternal rest. May her memory be eternal. Vichnya Pomyat!
LOTTTERY TICKETS: Our parish fund raiser for the month of May is the Lottery
Tickets. If each parishioner would kindly take at least 5 tickets it would be very
helpful in this project. We have no Bazars that require much more than the $25 that
you would have to spend on that affair. Except for our Fund Raisers once in a while
during the year we do not ask for much for the good of the parish Please try to do your
share by purchasing at least the 5 tickets. If you can possibly take some of the tickets
to sell it would also be appreciative. Thank you.
PIGGIE DINNER: Our Parish Piggie Dinner is to be held on Thursday, March 24th,
serving from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and take outs from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. Tickets are $8.00
per adult and $4.00 for children 12 and under. A Chinese auction will be conducted.
Any donations toward this affair would be greatly appreciated. We are asking our great
bakers for the supply of desserts, such as cakes, cookies, jello, etc.

LEAGUE OF UKRAINIAN CATHOLICS MEETING: – North Anthracite Council – League of Ukrainian Catholics will meet this Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Transfiguration of Our Lord, U.C.C, 240 Center Street, Nanticoke PA. Meeting will convene at 1:45 PM – plans for the April 3rd Ukrainian Cultural Exhibit and Craft Sale will be discussed. The Way of the Cross – is scheduled for 4:00 PM followed by fellowship and refreshments.
UKRAINIAN CULTURAL EXHIBIT AND CRAFT SALE: The North Anthracite League of Ukrainian Catholics will sponsor their annual Ukrainian Cultural Exhibit and Craft Sale on Sunday, April 3, 2011 – 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM in SS Peter and Paul, Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, Plymouth, PA. If you are interested in reserving a table for your crafts, etc. the cost per table is $20 – please contact Janina Everett at 570-759-2824 or cell 570-441-9593. Lunch will be available with variety of homemade ethnic food and baked goods
