FLOWERS: A new chart is available to request your bouquets of for the altar.
Flowers are a beautiful way to remember your loved ones or in honor of someone. The bouquets are $25, $30, etc. According to the size you wish to request.

GIFT CERTIFICATES: We do not like to sound like a broken record, but the gift certificates that can be used at the Plymouth Hometown Market are still available. I am sure more of you parishioners shop at the Market and we have many dollars’ worth of Certificates for you to purchase. If you shop for food you can use these certificates as cash. They come in denominations of $5, $10, & $20. Saturday, see Ann Beshada and for Sunday attendance, Louise Hubiack will have them available. Please try to cooperate with this fund raiser. Thank you to all who have purchased them.

HOLY TRANSFIGURATION OF OUR LORD UKRAINIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH: A Centennial Celebration will be held at Transfiguration Of Our Lord UCC, Nanticoke, PA On Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 Divine Liturgy will be at 2:00 PM and following the Liturgy a Banquet will be at the Church Hall. Tickets are $40 and cash bar. Reservations are requested and must be in by August 31st. Please call Arlene Jennings 735-8497 for your reservations.

LUC Convention: The National Convention of the League of Ukrainian Catholics is fast approaching. It will take place on the weekend of October 12 thru 14, 2012 at the Ramada Inn, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Hosted by the North Anthracite Council, all League members, parishioners and friends are cordially invited to attend what promises to be a rich experience spiritually and socially. The 3day schedule includes general session, workshops, religious services, meals, entertainment, sightseeing, etc. Registration deadline is September 15, 2012. The regular meeting for the North Anthracite Council will be held on Sunday, August 26th at Ezek’s Farm. Moleben service will be at 2:00 PM and refreshments to follow.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Father Popyk would appreciate and thank you if when you approach to receive Holy Communion – to please come close to him with your hands crossed over your chest (do not make the sign of the cross until after you receive). Tip your head back and do not close your eyes. The purpose is so that the Communion Bread does not fall on the floor. When he has to stretch out to distribute the Communion to the participant it can easily fall off the spoon.
