ST. MARY’S BYZANTINE CATHOLIC Church of Scranton, Pa is sponsoring *St. Mary’s International Dinner Club featuring “Christmas Around the World” on Thursday Dec. 13, 2012. It will be held at St, Mary’s Center, 320 Mifflin Ave, Scranton, Pa. There are two sittings (5:30p.m. & 6:30 p.m.) The price is $24.95 per person/ticket. Do not miss this wonderful dinner starting with French Onion Soup, and followed by Tortellini Carbonara, Roasted Beef Tenderloin, Parsley Potatoes, and Green Beans with Almonds and Red Pepper. There will also be Assorted Breads and Mini Desserts. Reservations only Tickets will not be available at the door. SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary Light is requested to burn the week of November 17 – 24 by George Pryslak & Family in memory of Mary S. Pryslak.

RUMMAGE SALE: The Women’s Society wishes to thank all those who donated items, food and baked Desserts for the success of the Rummage Sale. The two dates that the sale ran earned $2,440.49. Bills for the Ad’s in the papers must be paid from this total. It is a lot of work and most of it was done by Anna Magill and some of her family with the setting up and collecting stuff to be sold. The proceeds will be used for projects needed in our Parish.

PYROHY’S: If you did not place your order for Pyrohy’s please do so. The cut off date is next Sunday November 25th. No orders will be taken after that date. Come and join the other parishioners for a helpful project for your Church. Help is always needed so come and lend your hands. Pick up your order on Tuesday, December 4th after 10:30 AM. Potato preparation is on Monday, December 3rd at 10:00 AM and Tuesday, December 4th 8:00 AM to make and fill the orders.

MALANKA – Northeastern Pennsylvania’s Ukrainian New Year 9th Annual Dinner Dance –is scheduled for Friday evening, January 11, 2013 from 6:00pm to 1:00am at St. Vladimir Parish Center, Scranton. The festive evening will include a generous Ukrainian and American dinner buffet catered by Paul Wanas of Accentuate Caterers, cash bar, complimentary bubbly toast and dancing to the internationally known Ukrainian orchestra “Fata Morgana”. Attractive door prizes will also be awarded.
