RUMMAGE SALE: The Women’s Society Rummage Sale was a huge success. With so many items still available and new items coming in, Anna Magill decided to try to have a another sale on Friday, Oct. 20, 9 – 4 – Saturday, Oct. 21, 9 – 2 and Sunday, Oct. 22, 1 – 3. If you haven’t had the chance to visit the hall for the sale, it is still available Sunday. Come see the many nice items and you may find something you need. Thanks to all who donated to the sale that made it successful.

CRAFT SALE: SS Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Berwick, PA will sponsor their Annual Parish Craft Sale to be held Saturday, October 28th in the Parish hall from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.  Lunch will be available beginning at 11:00 am.   Tables will be available for crafters/vendors for $15.00 per 15′ table.  For information on tables, please contact Yanka at 570-759-2824.

CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY STORE Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, Hanover section of Nanticoke will be holding a “Christmas Holiday Store” every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM starting October 28th. There will be gently used Christmas and Holiday Items including a huge selection of gently used designer purses. The event will be held weather permitting while supplies last. The following date Oct 28—pancakes, Nov 5- Clam Chowder, Nov 11 –Haluski, Nov 18–Baked goods and Christmas cookies.

ANNUAL TURKEY-FEST – Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, will host their annual Turkey Fest on Saturday, November 4th from 2 to 7 pm in their school hall on the corner of North River and West Chestnut Streets in Wilkes-Barre.  This event features a traditional turkey dinner, festival games, raffle and a basket auction.  Dinners will be $11.00 for adults and $7.00 for children.  Eat-In or Take-out.  Walk-Ins are welcome, but reservations are encouraged.  Call (570) 829-3051 to make a reservation.  Non-perishable food items will be collected for donation to a local food pantry. Receive a ticket for each item donated for our special food drive raffle.”
