SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary light is requested to burn this week Oct. 28 – Nov. 4 by Albert Ferkel in memory of his parents Albert & Catherine Ferkel.

LOTTERY TICKETS: Most of the tickets for the November Lottery have been sold, Thanks to Mike Sinko, who visited many food stations to sell and all the participating parishioners who helped in the sale of this fund-raiser.

THE RUMMAGE SALE: The Women’s Society is proud to announce the success of the recent Rummage Sale at our Parish Hall. President Anna Magill and all the members thank all who donated articles, clothing, baked goods, food, etc. to make this project a success. The two weekend sales amounted to $4612. Of Course bills have to be paid but it will be a nice profit to help the church.

CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY STORE: Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, Hanover section of Nanticoke will be holding a “Christmas Holiday Store” every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM starting October 28th. There will be gently used Christmas and Holiday Items including a huge selection of gently used designer purses. The event will be held weather permitting and supplies last. The following date Oct 28—pancakes, Nov 5- Clam Chowder, Nov 11 –Haluski, Nov 18–Baked goods and Christmas cookies.

the Bells SHALL RING: The Carillon Bells of our Church are ringing again. The repaired parts that were sent to Ohio are back and Father Walter installed them with Dave Youells and they programmed the tolls. The cost of the repair is $1,967.00 and to date we have received two donations of $1000 and $116 by two anonymous donors. The balance is still outstanding and if you would like to contribute to this cause please do so by placing your donation in the collection basket or send it to the office. Your donations are certainly appreciated. 

Annual Harvest Dinner; Sponsored by St. Vladimir Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Sunday, November 12, 2017 – 12:30pm St. Vladimir Parish Center – 428 North Seventh Avenue, Scranton PA Roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, hot vegetables, dinner rolls, dessert, coffee, tea and beverages. Adults $13.00; Students 6 to 12 years $8.00; no charge for children age 5 and under. Reservations close Monday, November 6 – no tickets sold at the door. Take-outs available by advance order – must pick up promptly between 11:30am and 12:00 noon. Several door prizes will be awarded along with a Basket of Cheer raffle.
