SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary light is requested to burn this week October 20 27 by Paul & Dolores Hoover in memory of mother Anna Soppeck.

RUMMAGAE SALE: The Women’s Society wishes to thank all those who donated items, monetary or food to our recent Rummage Sale. It was a success thanks to all the members and a few men who came out to help. Another sale will be conducted on Friday, October 26 – 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Saturday, October 27 – 9:AM to 2:00 PM and Sunnday, October 28 – 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. If you did not shop for the past sale, maybe you can find something you need on this sale, Come and browse, it costs nothing.

MOLEBAN – LUC: Father Myron Myronyuk, pastor of Scranton’s St. Vladimir Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, extends a warm invitation to the beautiful Prayer Service – Moleben to the Mother of God – on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 2:30pm to be followed by a church sponsored meeting of the North Anthracite Council of the League of Ukrainian Catholics (LUC).  Agenda items will focus on the 2018 National Convention held in Buffalo/Amherst, NY and plans for fund raising including the May 2019 bus trip to New York City’s St. George Ukrainian Street Festival and Brooklyn’s Brighton Beach. A bountiful reception will follow immediately after the business  session. This is a public event of St.Vladimir parish to which all parishioners and friends are welcome.

ANNUAL TURKEY-FEST – Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, will host their annual Turkey Fest on Saturday, November 3rd from 2 to 7 pm in their school hall on the corner of North River and West Chestnut Streets in Wilkes-Barre.  This event features a traditional turkey dinner, festival games, raffle and a basket auction.  Dinners will be $11.00 for adults and $7.00 for children.  Eat-In or Take-out.  Walk-Ins are welcome, but reservations are encouraged. Non-perishable food items will be collected for donation to a local food pantry.  Receive a ticket for each item donated for our special food drive raffle.
