Financial Councils meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 7th.
This meeting will be in conjunction with the Financial Council of Holy Transfiguration at 7:00 PM in SS Peter & Paul Church Hall.

Most of the United States begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March and reverts to standard time on the first Sunday in November.
In the U.S., each time zone switches at a different time.

SANCTUARY LIGHT: The Sanctuary Light is requested to burn the week of Oct. 27 – Nov. 3 by Ron & Rosemarie Kachinko in memory of daughter Sandy Elko.

PYROHYS: The scheduled Pyrohy project will be December 3 & 4, 2012. Orders will be limited to 500 dozen. Help is needed so please try to give a little for your parish. The order sheet is in the vestibule. The Pyrohy’s are $7 a dozen. If you wish to donate any items used for this project it will be greatly appreciated such as eggs, margarine, sour cream, or monetary to buy the items. This is a fund raising project to help with the expenses of the church.

TURKEY DINNER: Saints Peter & Paul Church, 635 N. River St., Wilkes-Barre will hold their annual TURKEY-FEST on Saturday, November 3rd, 2012 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, in the school hall, corner of North River and West Chestnut Streets, Wilkes-Barre. Homemade traditional turkey dinners will be $10 for adults and $7.00 for children. Take-outs available. Walk-ins welcome, but reservations are encouraged. There will be raffles and other activities as well. Please call (570) 829-3051. Father Paul Wolensky and Parishioners extend a cordial welcome to all, to come and enjoy their annual Turkey Fest!

RUMMAGE SALE: The recent Rummage Sale was successful and a lot of items are not sold. It was decided to try and hold another sale on Friday, November 9th. New and used items will be needed to fill in the spaces. If you have anything to donate please bring to the Hall or Church. Our thanks to all those who donated to the Rummage Sale. Your help is greatly appreciated.

PRAYERS: Request for your prayers is for those in nursing facilities, hospitals and at home, especially for Rita Rentko who is residing at The Timber Ridge Facility.
